Meet The Team
Carly – Playgroup Leader
I have worked in early years since leaving university in 2003 and have been the Steppings Stones Playgroup Leader since September 2017. I am a level 5 qualified Early Years educator, a qualified Forest School leader and the settings designated safeguard lead. I enjoy all aspects of my job and find it very rewarding watching the children develop and grow in confidence by the time they are ready for school.
Zoe – Deputy Leader/SENCO
I have worked at Stepping Stones since 2014 and my children have attended the setting over the years. I have a level 6 qualification in Early Years Education. I work closely with families and outside agencies to support children when needed, as the settings Special Educational Needs Coordinator. I like to work with the children to grow vegetables and flowers in our garden, among the many other activities we offer.
Laura – Playgroup Assistant/ENCO
Since graduating from university in 2000, I have worked in various roles supporting children and their families. I joined the Stepping Stones team as Playgroup Assistant in 2016 and am now level 3 Early Years Educator qualified. I enjoy working with children, supporting their interests and seeing how they develop in their time with us.
Kiah – Playgroup Assistant
I have worked in early years for four years and alongside the lovely team at Stepping Stones since March 2020. I am a level 3 qualified Early Years Educator. I previously attended Bridgwater college to study Dance and went on to perform in many shows and competitions. I also helped to teach dance to young children, which perfectly combined my love for dancing and working with children.
Jennie – Administrator
It has been a pleasure to join the team as their administrator, where I support the staff with admin tasks on a Monday morning. It is also a joy to meet and spend time with all the lovely children that come through our doors.
All our staff Keyworkers hold a current NVQ Level 3 childcare qualification or above and a current First Aid Certificate. Staff training is continuously available throughout the academic year to ensure we are alongside changes in good practice and ready to deliver the best care for our children. We encourage our staff to explore new courses that interest them and look forward to seeing how their experience can provide new and innovative ways for our children to learn. We aim to stay at the forefront of new government initiatives for our age range curriculum and able to reflect these changes in the ways we care.
