Meet The Team

Carly – Playgroup Leader
I have worked in early years since leaving university in 2003 and have been the Stepping Stones Leader since September 2017. I am a level 5 qualified Early Years Educator, a qualified Forest School leader and the settings designated safeguard lead. I enjoy all aspects of my job and find it very rewarding watching the children develop and grow in confidence by the time they are ready for school.

Kiah – Early Years Practitioner/SENDCO
I have worked in early years alongside the lovely team at Stepping Stones since March 2020. I am a level 3 qualified Early Years Educator. I previously attended Bridgwater college to study Dance and went on to perform in many shows and competitions and helped to teach dance to young children. I have recently trained to become the settings Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator.

Paige – Early Year Practitioner
I joined the team in 2024 and am working towards achieving my level 3 as an Early Years Educator. I originally trained as a hairdresser, but as my children grew older I found caring for family and friend’s children in their early years incredibly rewarding. The care and inspiration my own children received at Stepping Stones has motivated me to pursue a career in early years. Watching how the team supported them, nurtured their confidence, and made learning joyful encouraged me to join the setting myself. Supporting the children through their early milestones is incredibly rewarding, and I feel proud to play a part in their learning and development.
Roxie – Early Years Practitioner
I attended Strode College and qualified as a level 3 Early Years Educator in 2024. My daughter attended Stepping Stones. I love hands on activities such as arts and crafts, as well as baking. My favourite part of working with children is their curiosity when learning and developing new skills and ideas. Every day is different, and just like the children do, we learn new things every single day!

Grace – Apprentice Early Years Practitioner
I started at Stepping Stones in September 2025 as an apprentice working towards my level 3 in Early Years Education. I have young family members of my own who have inspired me to work with children. I would like to contribute to making children’s early years education fun and engaging and have a supportive role as they grow and develop.

Lilly – Apprentice Early Years Practitioner

Jennie – Administrator
It has been a pleasure to join the team in 2021 as their administrator, where I work to support our families and staff with administrative tasks through the week. It is also a joy to meet and spend time with all the lovely children that come through our door.
All our staff Keyworkers are currently working towards or hold a current NVQ Level 3 childcare qualification or above and have a current First Aid Certificate. Staff training is continuously available throughout the academic year to ensure we are alongside changes in good practice and ready to deliver the best care for our children. We encourage our staff to explore new courses that interest them and look forward to seeing how their experience can provide new and innovative ways for our children to learn. We aim to stay at the forefront of new government initiatives for our age range curriculum and able to reflect these changes in the ways we care.
